ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Can i use the client version to remote control my scanner and log the traffic?

The free client can log traffic but not control.
The client in the full version can control.

I was trying to just log my traffic i downloaded the proscan client but i don't see any option to connect my usb cable like a serial coms port?

The free client only works connected to the paid client. The free client by itself doesn’t do anything.

Is there an "official" limit to how many scanners you an have working with Pro-Scan or is this only limited by the computer and the amount of USB devices connected.

At this stage I only have 7 scanners (
UBCD 436-PT, UBCD 436-PT, UBCD 536-PT, UBCD 996P2, UBCD 996XT, UBCD325P2 and USDS100

I run 16 Copies of PROSCAN and 16 Scanners on the Same PC.
Dell 9020 with 16 GB Ram Does nothing but run Proscan and log and record scanner Traffic.
On a busy day it runs 50% to 60% when looking at Task Manager

Everything works fine for several days/weeks but then suddenly the program starts saving the recordings as empty files with no audio. They're roughly 500 bytes. I opened a few in a text editor and they seem to have the metadata but no audio. A reboot of the machine fixes the issue, but it returns after a while.

Came here to say the same thing. Did not change with the update.

Next time it happens, go to the Win Mixer and see if the audio meter moves. That won't apply if using the ethernet audio on the BCD536HP and SDS200.

Folks, I need several good testers. Mainly if using the following.

• RRDB Differences function
• Database 'Note' column. Channel level.
• Database 'Record'(1) column. System and channel level.

The above works with the DMA, BCDx36HP, & SDSx00 scanners

Test version 23.5.0.0
Unzip and copy the files over the originals. Stop ProScan 1st.

The RRDB Differences function should be much more reliable now. The 'RRDB Import.txt' file was causing problems with the RRDB indexes getting lost or changed. The purpose of this file was to store the RRDB system, group, and site indexes. Now, the indexes are stored in the ProScan database.

After opening a database in ver. 23.5 and above, the 'RRDB Import.txt' file is read and the indexes are transferred to the ProScan database and then the 'RRDB Import.txt' file is of no use.

The database Note and Record(1) data should be much more reliable now in retaining the data after a download (or read from scanner). Unfortunately, none of the scanners support 'user data' that can be uploaded to the scanner and downloaded. The data will be lost so a helper file is needed. 'ULDLData.txt' stores the data before an upload and before a download and then will transfer the data back to the ProScan database after a download.

Hi, I just did a fresh install of 23.4 on a new windows 11 pc. When I use the web server on a different device, the buttons only work intermittently. They will depress and not activate (it will even show depressed on my pc running proscan). It can take several attempts to get the button to activate and "pop" back up. I have checked all my firewall settings, I'm logged in as a super user and can access from inside and outside my network. Any ideas?

It appears to not matter what device I use. I attached a picture of both the sds200 and 536HP showing the buttons pressed on the PC running proscan. That is what puzzles me and I don’t believe that’s from any firewall/virus

Does anyone know if the web-socket endpoint usable for an external website? I do have the web-server page visible to the outside world.

I'm trying to get the streaming details to be shown on an external website using web-sockets but so far I'm only getting small chunks of data such as (K,15:20:20,80934) which almost repeats but varies a bit sometimes.

If I view the web socket data from the internal web-server page on dev-tools I can see everything that it looks like I need.

Alternatively, is there a better solution for this? I see the "List of Parameters" section on the web-server page but am unsure how to use them for my situation. It feels like they might be there exactly for what I'm trying to do!

Any documentation that might help would also be highly appreciative!
