ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

I have the same problem using a 996P2 and Windows 10. Proscan stops communicating with scanner.

That's a different problem. 996P2 works a little differently. Try power cycling the scanner.

I have numerous times and only rebooting pc works. Which is why I have assumed it was a windows 10 problem. But I decided to go on and mention it this morning.

A stupid people problem!

Bob, this may have already been asked but! Is there an undo button in ProScan? Here lately after spending a lot of time in "Logging History", I will edit a collected page of data and I carelessly hit the "Delete All Rows" button instead of "Delete Selected Rows" loosing my good stuff?? Would it be possible to add "Undo" for us dummies? Thanks

Installed 10.7 but seem to have lost "history logging". Get the first log entry after starting the program but nothing after that. Using Win 10Pro. Reinstalling 10.6 fixes the issue.

Update: Disregard the above, a clean install of 10.7 fixed the issue I was having.

I know this is only a technicality and know what you meant but don't you mean 10.7 + 10.6 ? you sound like I do when I've been on the computer all night trying to fix problems .

You're right, installing 10.7 shows the issue and reinstalling 10.6 fixes the issue.

Update: A clean install of 10.7 fixed the issue with the history logging.

BCD436HP + ProScan v10.7 Physical Connectivity

Hi Friends,
I'm exploring ways to privately broadcast a local P25 system. I'm a member of a PD volunteer group and all members would like to listen to the PD, but without everyone having to buy their own $450+ scanner. So enter ProScan.

PC for this exercise will be a Win7x64 laptop. What will the physical cabling look like for this?

I know I have to have wall power to the BCD436HP so a 4.5v wall wart.
I know I have to go USB btwn scanner and laptop.

Does audio traverse the USB cable? Or will I need to run audio between headphone on the scanner and an "audio in" on the laptop?

1. For the Fire Tone-Out logging, is the Name field supposed to pull the same as what is in the Tone-Out Name field in the Fire Tone-Out setup? The Name field is showing blank for me in Fire Tone-Out logging.

2. Also in the Fire Tone-Out logging, I have one tone that is just showing 65 instead of 650.0.

On bugs that I can't duplicate, The absolute best way to resolve any bugs is through email. That way I can ask additional questions and send test files until fixed. At least advise the scanner type.

Would you go to the Options - General tab and check the Scanner Data To "Scanner Data.txt" File box. After the Tone-Out is received, send me the "Scanner Data.txt" file and the scanner type.

Suggestions should be made via email so I can organize them, not under any pressure, ask questions, and send out the latest file with the suggestion implemented. Email suggestions are given higher priority unless really good.

{edit} What was your suggestion anyways?

When you look at screenshot # 1 you to the right you see that "box in the way" its over the Scan - Hold buttons.. Can the Scanner FACE be move over the the left into the "Left gap"?
This happens what as you can see in Screenshot #2 when you try to put two proscans on one screen. I can live with it for now but when you put out the next update can you please fix this?
Is there a way we could close it or a way to turn it on or off in settings ?

Thanks, I didn't see them before, must of been uploading. Can you increase the width or are you proposing an option to not show {edit} the frequency/jump box and mute icon on the screen
