ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Just a quick question, Proscan.

Downloaded the demo of Proscan, and got it working.

Scanner, BCD536HP connected via wifi

Used it to control my scanner via Splashtop when Proscan would drop the audio source and reconnect.

Demo ran out, so I switched to Radiofeed to continue supplying the feed till payday, Radiofeed runs for days and days with no audio source reconnect request. It's been running for almost a week straight without me having to remote in.

The settings are the same between Proscan and Radiofeed.

Could you add the option, if it isn't already there, to have the audio source attempt to reconnect similar to the attempt to reconnect to the server.

I hope that makes sense.

RadioFeed and ProScan Source Client functionality is exactly the same (or should be) on the latest version of ProScan and RadioFeed.

Negative on the request. Request by email carries more weight unless it's really good.

Why by email you ask?

• Easier to ask questions and get replies faster.
• I can send out test files.
• All suggestions are in one place and easy to find.
• Request goes to the top of the list for those promoting or recommending ProScan or RadioFeed.

There are a few other reasons too.

I'm running Radio Feed, currently outputting .mp3 format from a browser, and whenever I lock the screen, or disconnect from RDP, radiofeed stops getting audio / streaming.

I've got audio redirection disabled in RDP. Any ideas?

You did send me a fix but that didn't solve the issue. Will do a clean install of 11.3 and report back to you.

I will be releasing RadioFeed next so it will be later. In the meantime I want to get the word out that a new ProScan version is out.

I got one report that Ver. 11.3 History Grid sort routine broke. It broke when adding the more colors to the color options. HSL(Hue-Saturation-Brightness) sort routine.

I just uploaded the ProScan setup file with the fix. So anyone that downloaded ver. 11.3 in the first five hours after release, please download again.

I am new to the BCD996P2 but I'm trying to setup proscan to stream the audio. I have the USB cable connected and can see the display and control the radio but do I have to hook the headphone jack to the computer using a Mono cable or can the audio from the scanner go to the PC over the USB cable?
I would like to leave the headphone jack unplugged so that I can still listen to the scanner inside the house while it is streaming.

Audio doesn't ride on the USB cable. You will need an audio cable. Why not use the rear external speaker jack.

Just remember to set all channels that you want to feed to RECORD or it won't put out the audio.
