Last night I did all of your recommendations, power cycled the computer (not just the Windows side, I re started my Mac), turned off/on the scanner, un plugged the router for 10 seconds (all kinds of havoc that wrecked since now my Mac couldn't reconnect to the internet) and it still won't work.
Now, regarding your recommendation regarding the TCP, despite having PC's and Macs for years, I am not skilled enough to find out what other program I might have running, that could be blocking TCP.
I have amateur radio software that requires me to open UDP ports in my router. To that extent, I've been successful.
Other than that, I wouldn't know how to find out what other program could be blocking the TCP ports you mentioned, unless while installing the software it was done automatically, I don't have the foggiest idea on how to go about that, unless you'd be willing to do some serious hand holding and walk thru the steps.
I realize this is a problem that would take too much of your time, as it is apparent you've tried your best to troubleshoot it, every installation / situation, is different from user to user.
And now someone else just posted they've had the same problem (?) I'm hoping you would be able to figure it out.
