ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Quick question. Can my sds200 hook up directly to a computer with ethernet or does it have to go through a router? The computer will use Wi-Fi to connect to the internet. Thanks
I never done it that way. I've always used a router. You could try it and see if the scanner acquires an IP address. Go to the scanner menu Settings - LAN Settings - Show IPs. You may have to turn your computer into a router. I don't know. Search online for "computer turn into router".

Proscan 19.5, Win 10, SDS 200.
Been monitoring the scanner remotely on computer home network. Been flawless for eons. Lately while monitoring Proscan will just randomly invoke an unwanted "avoid" channel. No button presses, no interaction with the software at all. Just scanning along and "permantly avoid XX channel" will just pop up and continue scanning. Any ideas what might be causing this to happen? Thanks for any ideas.

To do this you'd need to plug the ethernet cable into the scanner from the computer. This would prevent an internet conenction unless your computer has a wireless NIC controller. You'd have to assign an IP address to the scanner, that is on the same network as the computer's ip address, ie,
If the computer has an IP address of 192.168.1.25, the scanner would have to have the IP address manually configured as 192.168.1.X. the X being any number other than 0 or 25, and not higher than 255.

It sounds like the Resume Scan/Search is on with the lockout option selected. It's located in the upper right corner of the program. If you don't see it then click the box (circled in red) 1 or 2 times until it's in view.

Thank you - the resume scan/Search was on. I'll trust that's the fix and I'll have to read up on the option as I don't understand it. Thanks again.

Thank you I have a better understanding of Resume Scan/search. But I don't understand how or why it triggers an "avoid" or permanent avoid.
Thanks -

Turn off the Lockout option to prevent channels from avoiding.

// edit - If the Resume Scan/Search is off then the lockout option has no effect.

I have been searching the forums looking for the answer to my problem without success for quite sometime..
I am using ProScan 19.5 on 3 pc's using Windows 10. Everything is updated regularly.
The scanners I am using are the SDS 200, 536, 436 and all are using the newest firmware.
My problem is that every time I upload to ANY of the scanners. The assigned System Quick Key number for ever system is changed to the next number. For example, if I have number 1 assigned when I upload it, it is changed to 2. I then have to turn off the 2 manually and enter number 1 and so forth throughout the systems in each of the 4 scanners.

I'll wait to see if anyone else is experiencing this. If so then I'll look at it before the next release.

Thanks, Bob.. I have looked everywhere trying to find something similar to all the pc's and the only thing really is Windows 10 and ProScan.

Ben
And operator. I'm not saying that's the case in this scenario without more info. When I get back in the middle of next week, then I'll run a quick test.

Well, Bob, I have never heard of anything in windows that would automatically do that to ProScan. So please share the information.
Thanks

The problem could be the System Quick Key Status check boxes are set wrong. Click the Favorites node (to select) on the left side in the tree then click the System Quick Key Status tab on the right side. See if the correct boxes are checked.

KC4ASF Did you get a chance to see if this it it? If no response then I take it as operator and not "Windows 10 and ProScan" and I don't need to spend time on it. "Last seen Today at 10:56 AM"

Just tried hooking up directly from computer to scanner. Cannot get it to work. Thought windows would assign a IP address. Will play around with it some more and see what I can come up with.
