ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

OK. I'm sure there's a reason (some detail on the RR db side) but it doesn't show up under my county. That's why I wasn't seeing it. I do see it if I select some other counties, though. Didn't think of that being a factor since it's a statewide (multi-state) system but, again, it's something on the RR side I'm sure.
Because it's not a true statewide system. If a trunked system doesn't appear at the bottom of a state's page in the database, it's not listed statewide. In fact, it's only listed in 6 Arkansas counties.

Interesting. Well, I haven't seen a map but it's pretty much a statewide system...or, at least it covers all areas that Entergy services. I guess that's not every acre of ground, no, so maybe that's why. Probably makes sense from a big picture view that it isn't listed as statewide. Oh well, I got it imported by selecting a different county and I'm monitoring it now so all's well.

Greetings, So I am a licensed user and had proscan install on the desktop and my laptop... Laptop battery fried and fried the HD in the process so tech replaced the hard drive so I can not deactivate on the laptop but when I try to install on the "new" laptop (new hd and install) it says I have reached my max? anyway to fix this or do I need another License?

Thanks. This is a really nice upgrade to an already great product. I have edited the dB in the SDS200. Before I make a lot of changes, I need to know whether the changes will stick when I update the dB from Uniden? Changing the TGID names would be extra nice.

No. As soon as you do a database update within Sentinel, it will wipe out all of the modified .hpd file when it reconstructs the full database.

Here's a tip in case anyone needs to undo all of the changes they've made to the Sentinel database with ProScan, and can't wait for the new update on Monday to reconstruct the files:

Go into the C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36HP_Sentinel\Updater\ directory and delete the MasterHpdb_##_##_####.gz file (the # are placeholders for the file date, which is part of the filename). Now open Sentinel and check for an HPDB update, and it will force the update and will revert the Sentinel database to the default settings.

Wonder why the "avoids" stick? I've never lost those with updates. My main interest is in adding color coding by service type across the entire dB. Have to ask why this isn't coded by RR with your updates. The field obviously exists.

That's because the Avoids in the scanner are managed by .avd files and not the regular .hpd files. When using Sentinel to write to scanner with the option "Force Write Full Database", the .avd files in the scanner are not touched.

{edit} That's also the reason the Avoid param is grayed out when the computer database is selected and normal when the scanner database is selected.

The full database avoids are stored in your Sentinel profile in separate directory, not with the full database itself.

I think it just worked. It will take some checking, but I am now seeing the little blue light for small towns around me that have LE service types. This could make re-coding work efficiently after an update. It would be wonderful if we could use a mark-up script to automate it. But even manually doing a few of these is powerful medicine. Colors are helpful because the small screens are impossible if not dangerous to try to read on the road.

Ah, there had to be a reason. With the latest updgrade, is it possible to do a global color code for Law Enforcement service types?
If you don't see a way then probably no. If you are making a suggestion, here's the guidelines. Bug Reporting and Suggestions
I have many suggestions and my own that I will be working on next.
