Here's an F-16 preset template I threw together for easy recording. To keep the spacing while posting, I've put slashes instead of spaces. Just put it in Notepad and use CTRL+H, replacing "/" with a space.

BEAST 31 and 32 cleared direct TOL. Last heard on ZID 288.300...can someone pick them up and find out where they're going?

Now hearing SABER 11 headed there too.

Freq flow for BEAST 269.275 DAY A/D > 288.300 ZID > 379.200 ZOB > 317.550 TOL A/D. Going to KTOL, I guess...not sure why.

Now SHACK 21 is with TOL A/D - I have no clue what they're doing at Toledo.

Tower is giving SHACK 338.150 to contact guard operations - I have 338.900 in my references, so maybe 338.150 is ramp control (they never contacted ground).

You guys checked out the new Radio Shack PRO-107 iSCAN for Mil Air? It's awesome! I think it works better than any other hand-held I've used for Mil Air, including the old PRO-43.

All your questions answered here:

RadioShack® PRO-107 Handheld iScan Trunking Scanner - RadioShack.com

I have one on order. It's in Perrysburg, Oh as of 4:10pm today. It should make it to the store by Thur, or Fri for me to pick up.

Wow, that good for Milair? I have both the Pro-43 and the Yupiteru 7100. In my opinion, the Pro-43 trumps the Yupi but both are very very good. If the PRO-107 beats the PRO-43, that is really high praise.

I think so. Maybe some others will chime in here and back me up, or make accusations that I work for Radio Shack!

I actually did work at Radio Shack while school was out and stopped in yesterday to chat with my coworkers and check if they had recieved any PRO-107s yet. They said they're apparently such a hot item that a lot of the outlets haven't gotten them so far and usually just have to place an order to ship directly to the customer. I guess that would indicate how good it is!

NORAD exercise flights planned over Ohio

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado – February 4, 2010 The North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct exercise flights in the skies in the vicinity of the Toledo, Youngstown and Canton areas of Ohio. The flights will take place in the mid-afternoon, and people can expect to hear and see NORAD fighter aircraft in close proximity with general aviation aircraft as they practice their intercept and identification procedures.

The exercise has been carefully planned and will be closely controlled to ensure NORAD’s rapid response capability.

The 180th FW will be performing the intercepts. I would suggest monitoring the following frequencies:

118.600 CAK A/D (187-006)
121.500 GUARD ***should be used heavily***
123.975 TOL A/D
125.500 CAK A/D (007-186)
126.100 TOL A/D (360-179) V05
133.950 YNG A/D
134.350 TOL A/D (180-359) V04
138.425 AIRTAC V10?
139.625 AIRTAC V06
139.750 AIRTAC V09?
139.975 AIRTAC V07
141.600 AIRTAC V08
141.650 BEEHIVE OPS V01
143.850 OPS
228.900 HUNTRESS
243.000 GUARD
307.000 TOL A/D (360-179) U05
317.550 TOL A/D (180-359) U04
322.300 YNG A/D
323.000 CAK A/D (187-006)
338.150 BEEHIVE OPS U01
364.200 AICC PRIMARY
371.875 CAK A/D (007-186)
384.100 AICC SECONDARY

Also remember to monitor common NORAD frequencies as well. In addition, expect traffic on VHF ARTCC, as the F-16s are likely to communicate with Huntress on UHF and ATC on VHF.

Good to finally get a callsign for the C-21s based there...did you happen to log the serial for that aircraft?

I think they're due to recieve three:
84-0142
84-0071
one ex-CT ANG
