Search Mode PRO 106 Michigan

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was using the search Aircraft mode and came across this.

Frequency:380.42500 and showed it as P25: 300 Is this possibly P25NAC since it shows the 3 digit# 300

Thats the first time I actually caught that frequency. It was loud and clear. Obviously military since they were using alpha tango, etc.
Talking about Sector. Sorry I'm not that familiar with miltary stuff.
Does that belong to Selfridge?
Or is this the Justice Department?

That is Selfridge. Not sure if it's security or aircraft maint? I'm not sure how high the NAC's go, but that should be one of the NAC codes.
My PRO-96 doesn't cover that range, & my BC796D has trouble decoding that P-25 system.

A few other I found while out by Selfridge.
380.725
390.425
390.725

Some other possible freqs.
380.575
380.7875

Let us know what else you hear in that range 380. to 400.

Most of the A-10s should have been upgraded with an AR-210 for the mid radio. The front radio is either another ARC-210 or an ARC-164 (it varies with each aircraft), and the aft is an ARC-186.

The mid radio is loaded with 19 UHF presets. The front radio has the same presets plus an additional 11 (CH 20-30). The aft radio has 20 VHF presets.

I was at the Alpena airshow today , close call hits:
173.5875 NAC 293 - Medical 'was used for an ambulance run on base'

163.5375 was used as a 'need more ice' here /there just general grounds activity
163.5875 Parking

Airboss was on 123.550

Tried to edit the military
wiki page
but no link exists for Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center; Alpena, MI

They must have used the available radios on the base so the exact useage otherwise unknown but at least we have a few to work on hehe

Also they let the public in for the show on the grounds (Black Talon) all along the runways and a lot of the base!

Has anyone asked themselves "Why do the A-10's need to have the Public Safety Bands?"

Since this is 'Military Activity' thread its all been about the fly boys what about the ground support?
I.e. we see those truck convoys on the roads too. Especially as I saw here on Wilder rd about a 20 truck convoy from the armory with a hummer in the back with a long whip on the back bumper. Accordingly that would us to the low band.

Yes, I've heard them on VHF low occasionally. Check the Camp Grayling frequency lists, those are probably still active.
