nodak1crdet3 you catch so much, im sure if you ever put your feed online ,you could charge for it

Some streaming sites say there is a Michigan military feed on Proscan, but I don't see it. Any help? I'd love to listen in... All I get to hear is A10's when I'm on vacation up north.

It was a guy out of Windsor that had that feed. I think he had Windsor PD on that feed also, but they went Encrypted last year. I think he took it down after that.

I can't get any of the ProScan feeds to work at all.

Hey nodak1crdet3 What kind of antenna set up do you have that you are picking up these civil and mil air frequencies with?

My antenna set up.
I have a (Very old) Radio Shack discone on the roof above my TV antenna, about 30 to 35 feet above ground. The cone part of the antenna is cut down to about half the Milair band. (2832 divided by freq) The disk part was left alone. Mine didn't come with the center antenna that goes on top. I was told to leave that off anyway because it's used more for transmitting. The antenna is hooked up to my PRO-2052 (Milair only) with Rat Shack RG8 coax (Very old coax, that needs to be changed).

I have a Sirio 1300N Discone hanging in my upstairs bedroom. About 20 feet above ground, hanging in a south facing window. This is hooked up to a Stridesburgh MC204, 4 port multicoupler, non amplified. The multi coupler is hooked up to 4 scanners, a PRO-2055,(Milair & misc) BC796D,(Milair, DPD, Fed) a BC780XLT (Milair) & a BC9000. The coax is about 12ft of Belden 9913F (Flex). This set up has good range also but not as good as the Rat Shack discone. I'm sure it will do better once I get that one on the roof also.

I also have a Rat Shack Scantenna just outside my room in the attic pointing west, hooked up to a PRO-2050 (VHF air), with Belden RG213 coax (Don't recall where I picked that up?), that's hooked up to a JIM M-75 Pre Amplifier. This has good range also for the VHF airband. I can hear MTC twr, app, & 1 DTW twr freq, both sides of conversation. All the center freqs around here, Cleve, Some Indy, Chi, MN, & Toronto.

For handheld scanners I like the Diamond RH77CA antenna.
For my car I have a Nil Jon Super M antenna, on a magmount mounted on my trunk. That does very well with my BC785. Mostly Milair.

SAM 91 departed Selfridge around 02:30pm. I was heading out to Selfridge to see which aircraft it was, but only made it couple miles down the road when I heard him departing. Turned around & went back home.

228.900 WIZARD BRAVO is still calling out targets for HUNTRESS, 02:58pm. No Burn CH going yet.
Read on another group that SAM & AF-1 we're using 292.800 AM mode for A/A.
136.725 AM mode is the normal A/A.

Whats a burn channel? All I'm hearing is a constant buzzing.

That's basically all you'll hear.

This is a very specialized communications network that is aboard AF-1 (AIR FORCE 1) & the 4 E-4B 747's, NAOC & a few other aircraft in the US. It's also called Northstar / Orderwire, C3, GEP (Ground Entry Point) WBFM. Wright Patterson AFB is the closest GEP station around here. This system keeps an open communications line between Commanders of nuclear forces during or after a Nuke attack.
It's supposed to Burn a signal thru all the noise of an attack. Hence the term Burn CH (Channel). The system is also Hardened against EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) effects from the blast. Basically it sounds like an open mike, that you can sometimes hear voice traffic, & a phone ringing in the background, that nobody answers. ;~)

Some info on the E-4B 747's.

MUDDY 11 x 2 is heading for the PIKE MOA. They we're heading for STEELHEAD MOA, but it's not open yet. 06:58pm.
STING 31 x 2 is going to refuel with TAZZ 73 on 238.900 AR 632B Prime.

That's strange that YALTA is using DEMON's A/A freq.

YALTA came down to Patterson using it as well. Leaving the MOA now on 290.500.
