With respect to remote access to Proscan via my cell phone, tablet, notebook, etc..., what causes the "Listen Live" window to be inaccessible, so you have no arrow to click on in order to begin monitoring? I noticed when I enter my password into the "Password Control Mode" window, the "Listen Live" Window showed up on the display, and the little arrow is available to begin monitoring. I must have something turned on or off in Proscan programming. I do need the password control feature for when I'm out and about. But, I just couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting a "Listen Live" window, until I just accidentally entered my password into the Server Control Window on a hunch. The odd thing is, the password window indicated that the password was already entered because the display showed that the "Logged In: Server Scanner Control Mode" was activated.

It's available when the "Serve Audio Stream" password box is empty -OR- the password box is not empty and logged in to Audio Stream, Monitor, Control, or Super User.

Bob, If analog frequencies can be heard, digital TGs' can't selectively be muted, correct?

I am asking, because. I can hear analog frequencies in the Recorder, but not TGs'.

The Recorder doesn't care if the audio is analog, digital, trunking. In line with buddrousa, do you have the channels in the database record flag set and the system set to Marked Channels or All Channels. Upload to the scanner if the scanner has a seperate REC jack. On issues, always advise on the scanner type.

Do you have in PROSCAN marked follow the marked recording if so have you checked each tg to record

I have the BCD325p2. I didn't think it mattered what type of channel it is. But I thought I would ask anyway. I have it set for 'All Channels'. I am using USB, not a jack.

Hi Bob and thread followers:

If this has been brought up before my apologies. I can't imagine that it hasn't in these 360 pages but a search came up negative.

Is it possible in a future version of ProScan to break out the filter settings for the 200 and 100 models. As it is now with experimenting with received signals it takes several steps to access the filter menus and make settings changes. As I type this I am thinking specifically of the use of custom search ranges with the newly acquired SDS200 I have. I think it would be a very helpful option; curious as to what others think. It's unfortunate that the radios don't have a quicker access to these settings as they play such a large part in the success of receiving signals.

Thanks.
Scott

In retrospective of what I typed, maybe I am not saying this clearly. I expect knob clockwise rotation makes the invert line down, no problem with that (never is my issue).

What I do not get used to, is when I use mouse to click the knob, I hope then when I scroll mouse wheel down -- as if when we scroll a webpage down, it will scroll knob clockwise (instead of counter-clockwise). at least be configurable. I'm surprised no one suggest this? As whoever I met with and ask them who never ever use the software. they have the same surprise reaction as me. I'm not talking about mouse dragging, but mouse wheel rotation.

(if use keypad arrow, I expected up is for clockwise rotation as now is, no change, my 1st post was just trying to say I understand why you initially make the mouse wheel move that way, to be consistent with keypad arrow, but some how when using mouse vs using keypad, people may have conflict intuitive reaction -- or maybe just me? in which case I need to buy lottery as I may beat the odd :))
I just realized something so back on this issue. My TV (LG C9 OLED) has a remote with a wheel and arrow keys. In summary, the issue is that you're thinking that the mouse scroll wheel and keyboard up & down arrows should move the scanner (menu mode) inverted line in the same direction. On my TV with the guide showing, moving the wheel in an upward direction or pressing the up arrow key will make the TV guide listing move in a downward direction and the channel numbers decrement. Same characteristics as the scanner and ProScan. It pretty much validates my thinking.

I'm not sure how that would work with the user interface and if this need some type of lookup file. Are the sites using different filters or using the global filter? Only simple way I can think of at this point is like this image but that's probably wrong.

Bob, How can I get Proscan to work with https://digitalfrequencysearch.com/index.php?
Use the 'Get Clipboard' function in ProScan. A system and site needs to be created first. With a CSV file opened or a web page displayed with frequencies, you would use the Windows function to select the items to import then go to ProScan and at the site level, click the Get Clipboard button (in color Red). See if you can take it from there.

I'm new to PS and I have a rather simple question. I've searched this thread for the answer, so please excuse me if I ask it again. When I upload to my BCD996P2, all the systems become locked out. Am I missing a box to tick? Thanks for the answers.

Proscan with latest updates. "history grid log.txt" is not being created at the top of the hour or manually. I have NOT disabled writing of this file in options. Any ideas?

Nevermind. Found it in the App Data folder instead of the designated log folder.

The VirtualStore folder. No changes in that area in a long long time. My guess is ProScan latest version was installed in a folder under the "\Program Files (x86)" folder.

Q: I can't find the config file or the logging files.
A: If ProScan is installed in the Program Files(x86) folder AND running a 64 bit OS AND not running ProScan in admin mode then Windows puts all program generated files in the VirtualStore folder located at C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\ProScan
