Just Added more systems to my 996p2 and checked it out for doubles or more and i noticed that every time there was a duplicate each one had to be deleted i wonder if its possible to add a Search and auto select for duplicate frequencies
I don't think I will do anything along this line. Just use the "Find Duplicates" utility. It's located in the menu Utilities.
{edit} on the "add a Search" Use the "Find & Replace utility. It doesn't have to replace, just click the Find Next button.

That's a known issue with the driver and scanner UART chip on the BCD996P2 and later model scanners. Whenever the computer reboots, the scanner needs to be power cycled or the USB cable reinserted. You could try switching to the Microsoft driver If using the Uniden driver to see if it helps.

To fix it on the BCD536HP
Use the rear DB-9 port. You will need a DB-9 to USB adapter along with a null modem adapter or cable. I believe some USB cables have a built-in null modem. A null modem is nothing more then swapping the TX & RX wires.

To fix it on the SDS200
Use the LAN port.
Ok, thanks, I can do that! Altho I prefer not to use the LAN port on the SDS200 but ill try it out

The TGIDs can be sorted now. The TGIDs will sort within their own respective groups and they will not move to other groups.
Go to the Utilities menu item then click on Sort then select TGIDs along with the Favorites and System you want sorted. Click the Sort button.
I meant if TGID’s could be sorted within the RRDB differences window so to avoid proscan from indicating “missing” or “add/delete” just because the TGID was moved to another “department.”

Not at 0. But, I thought muting did that automatically?
It should. I haven't heard of any other reports on this so I'll wait and see if anyone else has the same issue.
{edit} Advise on the scanner type on any issue. I see your tag shows 'BCD436HP, SDS100' but I have to make sure.

Keep in mind, I asked what am I doing wrong. Because, Oddly enough. I wonder if re-booting my PC would somehow help? I am just stumped.

Are all channels not muting, or only some channels? Do you have a volume offset on channels that are not muting? If a user assigns a +volume offset to a channel, you might hear sound from the scanner even though it is supposed to be muted by Proscan. (I have not verified this myself)

You just reminded me of, when I recently monkeyed around with the Volume Offset. I had done it, because. I was worried that, the speaker would get damaged in both scanners.

The channel Volume Offset option is not a factor at all or not the problem. I would make sure you are muting the correct ProScan instance that the scanner is connected to. See if the display shows V:0 when muted.

You never answered my question
What is the scanner type?

When ProScan mutes the scanner, the scanner display should look like this. If the VOL is not at 0 then that has to be troubleshoot.

The volume numeric display goes to '0', but. The Volume knob doesn't.

Since it *appears* that @Chris0516 sees the volume display = 0 when muting through ProScan, I will share my observation regarding the volume offset.

On an SDS200 with firmware version 1.10.00:
If I set the Volume Offset to +3 for a channel, there is audio passed through the speaker although the Volume=0.
If the Volume Offset is set to 0, no audio is passed through to the speaker if the Volume = 0.
In summary, my observation is that if a +volume offset is assigned to a channel, you will hear sound from the scanner even though it is muted by Proscan (or the volume is set to 0 via the knob).

I can verify that as I have several of my favorites set at +3 and it will still have sound with the volume set at 0.

With my BCD996P2 I have NOT observed this behavior.
With mute enabled or the volume turned all the way to zero, I hear no audio, regardless of channel volume offset settings.
Using v22.1 as of today. Never experienced that with previous versions.

Fixed - Google Maps broke.

Perhaps it's just my instance, but I was updating a scanner just now with the 22.1 update and I don't get the little info pop up on the map meaning there's no "update node" or whatever button. I tried unchecking the box by Show Info Box... to see if it would appear on hover and I am still not getting it. v22.1 on Win11 22H2. Just me?
