Same router here, Virtual Server setup is same just different internal ip address. DMZ is NOT turned on. Is it not starting up or are you not able to access on another device? You can not access it from the same computer Proscan is running on as it causes a loopback situation.

Also be sure and click Get My IP.

I have not been able to get the web server working remotely for my SDS100. I have a TP Link router with the Archer A9 and have seen other threads with similar issues, but nothing seems to help. I have tried adding settings under port forwarding and turning on DMZ in various combinations not knowing whether those are needed or not, but nothing seems to help. I have also tried disabling my Norton Firewall to see if that is the issue, and yes, the IP address is that of my computer.

Any suggestions?

What do you mean by "remotely"? Would that be inside or outside your network?
The Port Forwarding setup looks good if the computer running the ProScan server is using IP address 192.168.0.249 and the server is using port 5000.
Use Open Port Check Tool -- Verify Port Forwarding on Your Router to verify the port forwarding is setup and the server can be seen from the outside.
Use the inside IP address for accessing the server from inside your network. The URL would look like this 192.168.0.249:5000
Use the outside IP address for accessing the server from outside your network.

I never heard of anyone doing anything with the DMZ to make the server work.

Remotely meaning from outside the network... Cell phone with wifi off. The open port check tool verifies that it can NOT see me.

I had already verified that accessing from within my network works fine.

Upon further checking, it appears that T-Mobile Home internet uses CGNAT and thus port forwarding is blocked, so I'll need to setup a reverse proxy through something like localXpose.io.

I am starting to get back into scanning.

I bought the ProScan software 12/04/20.

I have since reformatted my computer hard drive.

I read this on the website: "To remove the activation due to computer replacement or hard drive reformatting - Go to the Menu --> Tools --> Remove Activation."

When I launch ProScan I see:

ProScan
Version 22.3

ProScan is Copyright 2005-2023 by Bob Aune
30 Day Trial Expired
Buy OK Enter Key

How do I get to the Menu --> Tools --> Remove Activation?

I did try entering my Key again and was given this message:

Maximum Installs Exceded Per The License Agreement

I also saw Bob's notice on his website and can wait.

If I uninstall and reinstall ProScan, will I be offered the option to Remove Activation then?

If I recall correctly, the original purchase allowed activation on two separate computers, so I want to remove activation of both of those.

Vacation Notice
I will be out of the office and out of the country Dec. 20th to Jan. 7th. I will try to handle key issues and send lost keys when I have time. I will answer all other emails and message board postings when I get back. - Bob

Send Bob an email. Looks like he may be checking for license issues while on vacation.

You can't remove an activation that doesn't exist (on your PC) anymore. Bob can and will help you.

I ran into a similar situation, A desktop I was using crashed, so I could not access ProScan on it. That was not a problem, as I was using a laptop, which was the second authorized installation of the software, But then that laptop took a dive, and I could not access ProScan on it to remove activation & install on my replacement laptop, I emailed Bob & he deactivated the activations for the two dead machines.

That way, I could install ProScan on the replacement laptop, and if I later replace, or repair, the desktop, I still have access to a second authorized installation.

I'm probably missing the obvious, but I have question about "SQK's for the Uniden SD200.
Does ProScan limit the number of SQK's? Tonight while adding new frequencies I tried to assign SQK 13 and it wouldn't take, the related field in the software remains blank. Then I tried 14, 15, and so on, no bueno. SQK's 1 thru 12 work fine. I'm running v21.2.

Thank you

No limitation on Quick Keys. The System and Site Quick Key options are None and 0 to 99 so no way that option can be blank.
Can you provide a screenshot of the field that is blank so we can see if we are on the same page?

Well I just now went to get a screen capture and whatever the issue was (operator error) has been resolved. Not sure what happened, but where you see the F13 (circled in red) was blank. Perhaps I failed to hit the save button, I don;t know. Regardless, thanks for your speedy reply and putting up with questions like mine. Proscan is the absolute best and makes the use of my new SDS200 a much more enjoyable experience.

That's the Favorites List Quick Keys (FLQK) and not System/Site Quick Keys(SQK). I see what's happening. Changing the FQK or SQK value doesn't show the update in the tree instantly. The update will show after clicking another node. I'll make a change in the next version that when a FQK or SQK value is changed then the tree will show the change instantly.

Oops, yes, FLQK. That is amazing that you'd make that change even though it was my error. Thanks for all you do, it is very much appreciated.

If nothing else works I will set DMZ to see if some firewall is causing the problem. I never leave DMZ on permanently I just use it to troubleshoot issues.

I have two instances of ProScan, along with two instances of UniTrunker, running 24/7 on a Dell desktop, running Windows 10, through a 10-port Anker powered hub (to provide enough current to run a SDS100) that is exhibiting erratic behavior.

I have been having problems for some time with two Network Wi-Fi adapters, one a plug-in board on the back (for lack of a better description), the other a miniature USB dongle. Using Device Manager to disable, and then re-enable, those Network adapters sometimes restores Wi_Fi for brief periods, and Wi-Fi works for a brief time on Restart.

The more serious problem started when, I suspect, I failed to disconnect the SDS100, using Com Port 11, from ProScan, before trying to connect it to Sentinel to do updates. I would have to go into Device Manager to manipulate Com Port 11. I started getting a screen reading "DDE Server Window" is preventing shutdown, which after multiple shut down attempts progressed to taking an inordinate amount of time resulting in a screen that reads an error message is being sent to Microsoft. Worse, on restart, my USB SDR dongles would be recognized briefly, then disabled, without my being able to re-enable them. There were duplicate lines In Device Manager for each SDR dongle and they were all grayed out.

I'm also having problems using the Dell USB ports with my LogiTech wireless mouse and with thumb drives.

So.......... Restart isn't fixing the problem(s) and using the Command function to run file check and repair reports no issues. It appears I'm down to doing a Window Refresh.

Should I use the uninstall application for each ProScan instance before doing a Refresh, and how can I save my current ProScan data for each instance?

It should be just a matter of putting the scanner in Mass Storage mode. To do that, re-insert the USB cable or power cycle the scanner then hit the "E" key when prompted. When the scanner is in Mass Storage mode, the port will disappear from the Device Manager.

Sometimes rebooting the computer will make problems go away.

Why do you want to uninstall ProScan? never recommend that. All it does is replace the exe and dll file with the same one. But if you want to, the txt (logging) files and ProScan.cfg (config) file shouldn't be deleted using the normal uninstall method. If deleting the folder then save the txt and ProScan.cfg file to a temp. location so they can be copied back to the original folder. Copy the files when ProScan is not running.
