Ok.......When I connect the 996P2 with ProScan it shows com port on read and write

I see now. The BCD996P2 uses the protocol in the comm. port to download and upload the systems. The SDS200 doesn't have that capability because it has a SD card so the scanner has to be in Mass Storage mode(and no comm. port involved) to read and write the favorites.

It is like plugging up a USB jump drive they do not have COMM PORTS EITHER.
Did you Download the Serial Driver for the SDS200 from Uniden? Until you do that you will not see the SDS200 in the Virtual Display.

Correct the BCD996P2 will show a com port, The SDS200 will not, problem solved

New ProScan user. Sorry for the simple question. I did read the manual, but I’m missing something.

History logging…
I would like the logging window to sort rows, descending, based on time, so the list shows the last hits at a glance. As long as the scanner is continuously logging/receiving, the log looks perfect with the descending diamond on “End Date / Time“ column.

After a few seconds of silence, the log reverts back to my last selected row, somewhere down the log.

I‘ve tried the “Active Row…” options, but the log still snaps back in time and I need to manually scroll up to top. How can I force it to simply show the newest hits/rows from top to bottom?

Sort it by the 'Start Date/Time', so. The most recent appears at the top. Click on that column, and. Make sure the little 'arrow' is pointing down.

Also, On the side panel, check the box, 'Each Transmission In A New Row'.

Thanks Chris, but the logging window still snaps back down the log Instead of showing the most recent loggings.

Thank you Bob. I unchecked the option above and it was working perfectly for almost a page of entries, then reverted back to ‘snapping’ down the log, so new entries still needed to be scrolled back up manually for viewing.

The problem seems to happen when there’s a slew of quick, short transmissions, like my local airport tower and aircraft.

Are you unintentionally, sorting by 'Frequency', instead of 'Start Date/Time'? Along with having the 'Each Transmission In A New Row' unchecked?

I run numerous instances of ProScan and one (for a BCD996XT) does this was well. I just live with it and figured I had something set wrong. It's like it stops auto scrolling.

I'm pretty sure mine is a setting somewhere, but I think I can reliably duplicate it now. If this one instance is "always on top" or in the foreground it doesn't happen, but if it's in the background it happens. I'm going to install another instance and try it on this one radio.

A new instance seems to have resolved my issue. The below may not make sense, but here are 2 screenshots of what's happening...

A new session of ProScan in the foreground...



And the same session after I click on something else and it goes in the background...



You can see it scrolled by itself. The history won't populate until I get a full page of hits. None of my other instances acted like this. I'll go through the other one tomorrow and see if I can find anything.
