The only current license on that freq is WQNY254 - Cook County Sheriff's Police Department at 26th & California (courts and jail). Other repeaters at that location and covered by that license include the following:

Are you still able to monitor that control channel, Awesomeman92? It would be great to be able to confirm these freqs as being active with that CC and then add this site to the Radio Reference database.

I don't have enough of a signal to decode it out here in Hoffman Estates. What I have in Unitrunker from when I found it shows 852.7125, 852.8500, 853.2375, 853.5875, 853.6125, 853.8375, and 857.1875. Alternate CCs are 852.8500, 853.5875, and 853.6125. NAC is 148.

Today I was in So Elgin and heard two cops talking on TG3981 on T149, any ideas who these are....TY

I did look up in the map book as calls were dispatched and was able to confirm towns on this Id# :

Norridge unit # 500

River Grove unit # 600

Schiller Park unit # 700.


Also someone posted Lake county animal control is secured no they are not secured. Hopefully soon other towns will open up their communications such as McHenry county did. Happy scanning.

Anyone up north here live and monitor T102-So Cook on the outskirts, living in Joliet I receive 4 bars on T102, but when the system chooses the freqy 770.94375 it reverts to one bar and I loose the audio till it drops and picks up one of the other freqys on T102 ??...It takes some watching of the system but its kind of weird....

Recently purchased a Unication G4 and now receiving 3/4 bars onDuPage, McHenry county towers in Buffalo Grove and at work in Rosemont. This radio does very well on the simulcast sites as well. Picks up all transmissions where the Uniden models on occasion with lost transmissions. Also noted at the Metra train station in Buffalo Grove the Unication G4 is 4 bars signal strength, the 252 would loose the control channel I guess due to the high tension wire towers of Com Ed nearby.

Illinois TGs on Muscatine IA Tower

All, it appears Illinois talkgroups are starting to be heard on the Muscatine IA Tower (Muscom, MCC). I just caught TG 3735 active on that site, and the transmitting unit was on John Deere Road in Moline. Have yet to hear Illinois State Police.

I doubt that you will hear anything except maybe ISP D7 or IL DOT RI Co. units in the vicinity of the Muscatine site

Algonquin/LITH Fire Dispatch New SC21 - TG# 34108

I heard them testing out TG# 34108 this afternoon, was Alg/Lith Fire Protection District (Dispatch). I have submitted it to the database. Also was hearing actual Fire dispatch calls here all evening. Plus it was showing up as (Hex 853c) in my SDRTrunk program with the calls too. Phase 1 non encrypted.

Freqs for Site 136 (Rochelle) Updated

Thanks to a submission, the freqs for Site 136 (Rochelle) have been updated. An 800 MHz freq that had been added to the license in 2010 has been left unchanged for the time being, even though it was not mentioned in the submission.
