Logged the YSD beacon on 36.600 MHz for the first time since 2015. Any ideas on who or where this is? I am aware that the callsign allocation is for El Salvador.

Been hearing quite a bit of military traffic on 30.1 the last two days. It sounds like it's possibly Canadian artillery training.

Canadian indeed, this is definitely Gagetown New Brunswick, on one of the recordings they give coordinates 1579 5218. Once you know that the military co ords for Gagetown start with 19T GL you add in 1579 5218 and input here Military Grid Reference System
This comes back as 45.58966 n, -66.23354 w thats 9.8 miles west of Evandale NB right in the Gagetown training area.
I've heard them using 31.0, 31.4, 31.8 and 34.2 recently.
Good of them to tell us exactly where they are.

I'm thinking the 30.72 - 77hz tone being heard might be WQDC340 out of CT / RI. I've caught a few short overs from it in the last while - lady dispatcher: "He was heavy" - a business that weighs what it transports - they move sand, gravel. Be cool if someone could catch it via groundwave to confirm.
I live about 40 miles from there, but will add it for the next time I am over in that area.

Thanks for confirming! Any idea where the 77hz tone is used from - is it Windham or the RI outfit - or maybe used on both?
Not sure i will see what i can hear. also Windham to RI is less then 30mins
