A full wave loop for 33 mhz range - 10 feet on the sides 5 feet top and bottom - feed bottom middle with coax ( a direct 50 ohm match because of the rectangular shape - polarisation horizontal) Support is a cheap fishing pole with bamboo canes.

No balun, or unun, for the coax? Have a link for plans/diagrams?

I have a 1:1 balun at the bottom center but it's not really necessary, at that point it's direct connect 50 ohm.
SWR is 2:1 or below over about 1.4 mhz. Receive above and below resonance is good for a few mhz.
I use the standard 1005 divided by freq in mhz to get the wire length and adjust from there.

The loop beats the pants off a dipole, 1/4 wave with 2 ground plane, end fed wire.

Re: 31.200 203.5 tone - Got a few place references from it today - one was to an "Auto Mercado" and another to "Banco de Costa Rica" - so pretty sure it's from Costa Rica. There's also a reference to "Santa Clara" and then a place I don't recognise - need to run it by a fluent Spanish speaker - but again fairly sure this is Costa Rica.

I like that! I wonder if I could construct something like that for 29 and 52 MHz with two loops at right angles and feed both from a single 50 ohm balun?

Anyone know who uses an 82.5hz tone on 33.880 - references to "On the way to Genesis" - might be the hospital complex in Zanesville, OH but not sure. Mentions of Squad 222, Squad 831, Medic 601.

Yeah, that's Licking County Ohio. I don't think it's in the DB. I've picked it up a number of times.

I think it clould be Santa Clara (Province San Jose). A Suburb of San Jose.
