Can you tell me what steps you took to find this information?
And how can i find the info i need to listen to this site (see attached pics) it's a NEXEDGE48 signal and i have a good signal i'm locking onto but i'm unsure how and where to input the info into dsdplus fl in order to hear the traffic.
Thanks
@AngWay
That system you are showing is Fleetalk Carolinas L219 ( FleetTalk Carolinas Trunking System, Various, Multi-State ). The site specifically is a site previously unknown, L219-27 (aka 127). It has neighbors of 12, 15, 20, 25 and 26 (aka 112, 115, 120, 125, 126)
Since it currently isn't in the DB, and since I can't be sure (but am fairly sure), I'll post here:
L219-27 (aka L219-127) 451.025
WSDX383 MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS INC
Honaker VA (Buchanan)
4 linear miles West of Honaker, VA. on the Russell and Buchanan County line
37.05244 -82.03556
83 451.025
188 452.3375
515 461.425
691 463.625
730 464.1125
NL:
12 aka 112 (516-461.4375) WQZA254 FANCY GAP VA (CARROLL)
15 aka 115 (523-461.525) WQVJ713 INDEPENDENCE / Point Lookout Mtn VA (GRAYSON)
20 aka 120 (748-464.3375) WSDY711 POCOHONTAS VA (TAZEWELL)
25 aka 125 (199-452.475) WSDX383 SPRINGVILLE VA (TAZEWELL)
26 aka 126 (129-451.600) WSDY711 TAZEWELL / Morris Knob VA (TAZEWELL)
The "AKA" is all about the fact that there are multiple systems tied together under 219, and site numbers are duplicated. So, IN THE DB ONLY they are split up into "zones" if you will 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx. These sites are in "zone 1" or 1xx. But DSDPlus will display only the 12, 15, 20, 25, 26, 27.
So try these additions to these three files:
DSDPlus.Networks
; FleetTalk Carolinas
NEXEDGE48,219,"FleetTalk Carolinas"
DSDPlus.Sites
; FleetTalk Carolinas
NEXEDGE48,219,27,"Honaker, VA"
DSDPlus.Frequencies
; FleetTalk Carolinas
NEXEDGE48,219,27,83,451.025,456.025,83
NEXEDGE48,219,27,188,452.3375,457.3375,188
NEXEDGE48,219,27,515,461.425,466.425,515
NEXEDGE48,219,27,691,463.625,468.625,691
NEXEDGE48,219,27,730,464.1125,469.1125,730
Try that and let us know how it works.
AND, once that one is verified working, Check the frequencies for each of the neighbor sites listed above and see if you can pick up any of those control channels (with at least a 20db SNR -- meaning a good signal). If so, try to capture relevant data about it.
Once you program L219-27 into the DSDPlus files and park on the control channel, watch the Channel Activity window and wait long enough for enough voice calls to occur so that it rotates between all the frequencies a couple of times. Then show us the Channel Activity window. I included all frequencies licensed on the site, but they might not be using ALL the frequencies on the site or might be using other frequencies as well.
