I had no problems when I transfer exe files from other versions when I move this over I get this the bottom says 0 bytes. Every file in the new update says that when I move all them over.

What did you use to extract the files from the archive?

Has anyone used the new survey tools? If so, can you describe how they work, and maybe post a screenshot?

I played with survey briefly. It's doing sort of the same things as SpectrumSpy, continuously scanning in chunks then combining them into a larger spectrum display, but in 3D instead.

From the notes.txt:
Code:
Edit FMP24.SurveyList to define centers of 2.4 MHz spectrum chunks.
Typically, centers are multiples of 1 MHz and spaced 2 MHz apart, for example: 770, 772, 774.
Chunks do not have to be contiguous. Example: 451, 453, 455, 461, 463, 465.
Set an appropriate gain level before starting a survey.
Press 'Y' to start spectrum survey.
FMP24 will continuously sample the spectrum chunks defined in FMP24.SurveyList.
For fastest operation, FFT size should be set to 16 in FMP24.cfg before starting FMP24.
Spectrum data is written to .survey files.
Use Survey.exe to view spectrum history.
Press Esc to stop a spectrum survey.
So I started FMP24 by itself, and then pressed Y and it started scanning. It created a series of files in my directory based on the freqs defined in FMP24.SurveyList, which already contains 7/800 freqs by default. I let it run for about 5 minutes then hit ESC.

What you end up with is a window that looks like FMP showing a 2.4MHz chunk of spectrum that you can use the left or right arrows to change from one chunk to another. Based on what chunk you select, you get another window with a 3D 'waterfall' representing that same spectrum. As you move your mouse over the FMP-looking window it highlights that spot on the 3D window.

The survey.exe description from notes.txt:
Code:
FMP24 Spectrum Survey Viewer

This program continuously reads the .survey files created by FMP24 during a spectrum survey.
Two windows are displayed. The first shows the peak and average levels for a 2.4 MHz chunk
of spectrum. The second shows a frequency vs time 3D display of the same 2.4 MHz chunk.
Edit Survey.cfg to set the height of the 3D display.
Edit Survey.cfg to set .CSV frequency data file names.
Edit Survey.cfg to set monitoring location and frequency data search distance.

Pressing '?' lists all active keys in the console window.

Use the left and right arrows to move to spectrum chunks.

Press [ or ] to select an appropriate step size.

Mouse over the first window to display license data.

    Press PageUp/PageDown to move the mouse in fine increments over the first window;
this makes it easier to place the red mouse line on carrier centers to trigger the
    license information display.

As the mouse line is moved across the first window, the corresponding spectrum
in the 3D display is highlighted. Press 'I' to isolate the highlighted spectrum
if it is hidden behind stronger signals.

To delete old survey data, delete all .survey files.

put in password
extract to the normal folder I use dsdplus
and all files show 0 for file size when transfer to folder (in winrar shows size files)

I renamed from .zap to .7z since it's a 7-Zip file. But I doubt that's your problem.

I decided to download 7zip and that seem to work. I don't know why winrar was being a pain. I got the stuff loaded and now have to wait til tomorrow for some test since cap+ system is slow now.

Explain again how you ended up with it on D: rather than C:.
