The after action report from the Ft Lauderdale airport shooting mentioned their radio system slowed dramatically about 1430 when school bus drivers turned radios on and the affiliation traffic ramped up.

He is correct, THPD went to TAC 1 on Monday because of "scanner app" people aka Meth heads following units around on the midnight shift... Might be the last we have heard of the THPD... good sources have told me this!

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Our local SRO's have both a school connect+ radio and their usual safe-t radios to keep things separate. I know the national weather service office in North Webster has access to safe-t however I believe they only have IDHS talkgroups available and I hardly ever hear them at all, only monthly radio checks.
The traffic from this specific school corporation is stuff that should be on their own radio network. They'll tie up several talkgroups talking to bus drivers, asking so and so if he / she missed the bus, sometimes they rattle off long lists of names.. etc. It hasn't been as bad lately so maybe someone got onto them but they're still on there on a daily basis.

That's what I figured. Sadly, not a surprise.
Though I thought the last time this issue blew up, THPD was removed from the streaming feed. I guess not.

I knowledge that problems are their people who do follow them , also I do see that which is with the druggeds and people are flewing from them before they have arrived .I understand from Police Dispatcher s for what their doing forSafety of the Police Officers of the community .I would like to see Police Dispatchers go to Encrytion Digital , also that on myself mind . I don't know what other people who thinking about or opinions

Yes, and my apologies. I thought I had heard them just minutes before I posted that. Guess my coffee wasn't working yet.
A good example of what happens when people put up feeds. You want to listen, buy a scanner and learn to program it.
76 would be Steuben County as most of the RIDS first 2 digits correspond to the County Numbering. So, relatively new as Steuben has not been on that long as they joined when they converted their former OpenSKY system over to an SAFE-T simulcast site.

Given that there are state parks in Steuben County I would venture a guess that these radios are programmed with a Steuben prefix but they are on dnr north zone for the campgrounds to interop with the DNR.
That's just my guess.

Yeah that kind of confused me too. I know Pokagon state park radios are prefixed with 93. Checking the log I do see nine radios prefixed with 76 on the dnr north zone talkgroup. I have that talkgroup locked out normally but I might try to listen in sometime to see what they identify as.

Okay news I'm been getting is that THPD DISPATCH is not coming back at all the plans are if it true or not they are going to be DE like the rest of THPD Talkgroups . That from people I know , also people have been asking and the community an so changes are true . They are on THPD TAC 1 DE Talkgroup , also they are staying on it until further notice .
I'll come an say this to people in community , there's been issues with the Druggers and everything else that the truth

Fits the Lake County range.... But is LONG way from home to pop up on ANY of the local sites in my area. (Possibly in a State Radio?)

I heard from a source that they are just going to continue routine traffic on Tac1 and leave Dispatch in the clear but not use it. That way they get around the "you can't interoperate!" argument. But take that with a large grain of salt, my source is a bit removed from things these days.
Sad deal with the dopers using the scanner app to try and track them...bad situation for the Officers and ruins the listening for the rest of us.
Anddddd..... Apparently our listing for Camp Atterbury from the original codeplugs is wrong... All I get on 21534 is IDOC traffic. So it is NOT the JOC command TG. Need to monitor this one a bit to find out which prison it goes too.
DOC has a facility at Camp Atterbury...that's probably it
