Hoosier SAFE-T thread 2025

For those who track/collect radio IDs, and have the ability to decode aliases, lots of them are starting to show up around Indy. Boone County, Morgan County, Hendricks County, ISP and even IMPD have had aliases showing up over the past few days.

Some that I have logged:

06-EMS-10591 - 610591 (Witham EMS)
06-PTFD-10301 - 610301 (Locution)
49-IMPD-12648 - 4912648 (IMPD working ODE on D52 Disp)
55-DISP-21140 - 5521140 (Locution)
Hendricks OP13 - 32113 (Locution)
Indy Disp OP01 - 93101 (ISP RDC 5 console)

Some ISP radios are showing ISP-XXXXX (last 5 of RID) as well.

I will have to do some looking and logging then, that's pretty cool. Usually only the aliases pop on consoles or system radios. Wonder if its a new update for ASTRO-25? If so, might show up on MESA too.

APX portables can decode aliases, which is how I've been seeing them. And yes, there are plenty of aliases to be had on MESA too. IMPD especially so.

Oh, I thought maybe you had been seeing them on like Pro96Com, or UT, or ProScan. Or maybe DSD etc...

Looks like IPSC was recently granted licenses for 4 new sites:

These locations are too far away from me to see if they are online or not.

Closer investigation of the new license grants for the Warrick County sites would indicate new frequency additions to two existing sites only....

Adding 858.4625 Mhz to the existing Boonville site

Adding 859.4625 Mhz to the existing Yankeetown site (not an actual new site at Newburg)

I know that IPSC removed their map of the SAFE-T sites from their website because of "security reasons." I am wondering if anyone would be interested if I created a google earth file with the sites on it.

I was looking at ULS data today and it has lat/long for the sites, plus I have an old map from back when IPSC still posted them with the site numbers on it. I was gonna work off that.

That map is so old it's carved in stone and deciphered from hieroglyphs. It still shows Lake & Porter Simulcast still under construction.
🤣🤣🤣!!!!! I have also had that map for at least 5 years. Let the guy make a modern one

Anyone here know what might be the cause of hearing one-sided conversations. On the Morocco site in Newton County I hear dispatch but not the EMS, Fire nor Police. Yesterday I couldn't hear neither.

Now the weird part, I hear both sides of the conversation on the Monon site. Today I can hear the dispatch side on Morocco site but as said not the units. But still hear both sides on the Monon site, seems the Morocco tower isn't working as it should.

Any thoughts?

I'll check... If you can just listen to Morocco site see what u hear... I think I wud hear it but if your broadcastify feed is scanning both Fowler and Morocco there's no way for me to tell anything.

I tried listening to Newton County sheriff and EMS etc on the Morocco site on 2 different scanners with same results, but like I was saying pick up both sides of conversation on the Monon site.

I have one scanner that scans just the Morocco site, and just Newton County talk groups and another scanner scanning Monon and Morocco sites... And the Morocco site don't have both sides of conversation on either scanner, and Monon does it's weird

If your broadcastify feed is scanning both Fowler and Morocco there's no way for me to tell anything.

My scanner feed has tags that tell both the TG and the site they are on.
The sites names my scanner feed gets are:
Monon
Morocco
Fowler
Rensselaer
Lake Cty.
