Yeah, it's a joke that you have to have the paid for player to get the tags. I get that player b\c it is a perk for my providing the feed.
Maybe if you got time listen to Morocco site and see what you hear... I'm trying something different now, I'm have the one scanner on just the Morocco site and on wildcard to see if it's just Newton County talk groups or all talk groups on the site that are one sided.Yeah, it's a joke that you have to have the paid for player to get the tags. I get that player b\c it is a perk for my providing the feed.
Thanks so much, do they just leave it like this? It's been 2 days now, going on 3... Probably be fixed Monday I assume maybe just no techs on weekends I suppose. Thanks again that makes sense, Morocco site is in site trunking mode 👍🏻One of the sites are in site trunking. Dispatch is using 2 radios, connecting to both, the site-trunking site, and the site still connected to the network.
Until Newton Co. fixes their site, just listen to them on Fowler or Monon. I just heard Newton Co. disp. talking back & forth to a deputy on Fowler no prob. Newton Co. is also to way comms on Rensselaer. But yeah, you're right they are only one way comms on their home site.Probably be fixed Monday
Thanks for the website, helps me understand more about it. I have heard about it before on other counties around me before but have never experienced it on the Newton County site. They have got it fixed as of today so all is good as of a while ago.Until Newton Co. fixes their site, just listen to them on Fowler or Monon. Of course, Monon is the designated repeater site for this multi county area, that's why there are so many counties on it also, that you could nearly get by just listening to it alone.

I didn't realize that about monon site
What do you think this IPSC map says??????????????? Monon is the designated repeater site for this 5 county area. That's because it's simply not true.
That's not for SAFE-T. 🤦♂️ That's for NPSPAC conventional channels. That has nothing to do with SAFE-T TGs.What do you think this IPSC map says??????????????? Monon is the designated repeater site for this 5 county area.
All of those sites are SAFE-T repeater sites for their 5 county area. I know it's a fact. They do the same thing on P25, why else would you hear all your area counties on that site ALL THE TIME 24 HRS A DAY.That's not for SAFE-T.
I didn't take it as just one repeater etc, as u described. Cause like u said sites have multiple frequencies and multiple repeaters, but took it as it tends to broadcast many of the talk groups from around the area. That's because it's simply not true. There is no such thing as a 'designated repeater site'. Every site on SAFE-T is comprised of multiple repeaters.
Each site on SAFE-T will only broadcast a TG if a user is on that TG -and- affiliated with that site. In other words, if no users on that TG are connected to that site, that site will not broadcast that TG.
You can take it to the bank that all of those sites on that convectional map were converted to do the same job on P25.Tbh I don't know what it is,
Buddy, stopAll of those sites are SAFE-T repeater sites for their 5 county area. I know it's a fact.
NPSPAC is a separate radio system that is piggybacked onto some of the SAFE-T sites. A lot of times ISP Superloads will use NPSPAC channels so they can communicate with each other in the convoy, but stay off of the SAFE-T system. I believe INDOT will use NPSPAC at times also. Any of the SAFE-T users can use NPSPAC, and (I believe) by federal law they have to be available for interoperability for anyone and everyone nationwide who may be passing through the state. All of those sites are SAFE-T repeater sites for their 5 county area. I know it's a fact. They do the same thing on P25, why else would you hear all your area counties on that site ALL THE TIME 24 HRS A DAY.
Buddy, go to the Google machine, type in "NPSPAC radio", read for a day and a half, then come back to this conversation with your new-found knowledge. With any luck you won't sound like a fool then. You can take it to the bank that all of those sites on that convectional map were converted to do the same job on P25.
I think all the counties in that area have their own tower that dispatch consoles are on, that's why I thought it was probably just radios that affiliate with it, more specifically the units, I think that's likely, but maybe it is a main site to carry the traffic in the area, or just its position that makes it perfect to get radios from the units in the counties to affiliate with it, I don't knowIt's not just the radios in the area, whatever agency is using that tower as a primary for it's dispatch consoles is pulling whatever those consoles have selected talk-groups on their radio lineup also!
That map I put up of the repeater sites on SAFE-T, each one of those sites works like Monon. Which is nice, because if you can only get the repeater site (like when using a handheld scanner) you can still get 95%+ of the comms in your 5 county area.So really like I said I don't think any Dispatches have the Monon tower as their primary connection.
What meant by I don't think any Dispatches have monon as their primary is the Dispatch consoles located mostly at the jails, are in the county seats... Like Winamac, Rensselaer, Monticello, Fowler, Etc... Kentland used to for Newton but I'm pretty sure dispatch was moved to the government center in Morocco, which is literally in the shadow of the Morocco Site. They all hook the Dispatch consoles to the nearest site. That map I put up of the repeater sites on SAFE-T, each one of those sites works like Monon. I wish I could get the Lafayette repeater site, but I can get Fowler and that gives me ISP Dist 14 so I'm still good. If you notice Dist 14 isn't on Monon very often, only when they are up around the 192 MM on 65 (which is the north end of Dist 14) that they are on Monon. They are on Fowler a lot, because Fowler is in Dist 14. .... Also White county is on Monon all the time as (I would assume as one of their home sites). Which is great for me because I can't get Lake Shafer or Monticello in Rensselaer.
