Technically aliases could be encrypted - there is support for encrypting Link Control Words in the standard... it's just that (to my knowledge) no one does it.
It would also require the infrastructure to have the key.

I think the sysadmins are partially at fault. Broadcasting the names of individuals in public safety agencies is a mistake. The functional assignment of the radio (mainly portables) should be sufficient identification.
I agree on this one. I would have put either portable of station number and mobile for vehicle station number. PD/SO would have been Portable example 4125p and vehicle 4125m.
Is this me or something I didn't notice? I'm visiting NC area and didn't set up no info into Dsdplus and when I setup the info for Viper 25 and rid OTA was popping in. If to get OTA info do we need to put info site and network info? I was picking up a system for SC in NC and some of rid was popping in not as fast as the NC viper
Most P25 systems broadcast a band plan. So normally you don’t need to add them anywhere in your files to actually pick them up. information about the channels in use, the NAC, the WACN and all that jazz are put into DSDPlus.P25data

The free version will probably always be at V1.101 vs the FL (paid) version which is at version 2.509 with P25 Phase 1 and 2, DMR, and NXDN trunking/conventional, Harris P25 TDMA CC tracking, RID alias decoding (where available). For the small price of $10 for a year or $25 for lifetime it is a great deal. I use it constantly.
Looking through the forums will show you many of the features it offers over it's very limited sibling, the free version. It is also listed in the RR Wiki HERE.
What version are you using now? If you reached out to DSD+ they will respond, it just takes time as it is only one person who does this on the side. Please understand he has a life and it is a holiday week, it might take a minute for him to respond.

I bought the lifetime.
I don't have access to any of the older version. The last one that I got an email about was DSD+ 2.228.
That was the last one you were supposed to get via email I believe.
1. Open DSDPlus
2. Go to MISC --> Check for Updates
If that exists in your version, it will download a copy of the latest DSDPlus. You will need the password for your 2.228 email in order to unarchive it.
You will also likely need the latest basefiles, so go to MISC --> Download Newest Base Files as well.
The problem is the link in my email is dead. I can't access that version. I don't have the files downloaded anywhere.
Then enail dsdplusfastlane@gmail.con from the email address you signed up with. Explain the situation.

I had the same issue. I emailed him and sent a screenshot from PayPal from the first time I paid and told him what was up. 2 days later he sent me the newest files and I was able to get it up and running. And remember to write down, screenshot whatever that password
What I did for password I used notepad and just copy and paste.
