I came here to see what was up
Summit has been off for about a week had to switch to valpo tower
Reprogrammed with laporte county simulcast still not hearing lowell or toll road ISP
The Michigan City tower is at PD and heard they had been having troubles with it since installed.
Anyone have suggestions? Idk if ISP is down or I have programming issues
Downloaded from database to ARC-XT
The old Mot2 system would, if you got a busy signal, eventually let your radio in when a frequency opened up. You would get the busy signal, then just wait and you would get a permit chirp. Then just key and speak. Haven't had it happen since the switch but I'd think the new system would do at least as much.Speaking of IPSC techs fixing things, are there any provisions for adding extra voice channels? As it is right now, the local tower I listen to gets "overloaded" so to speak quite often. The alternate cc is used as a voice channel sometimes. I haven't seen a whole lot of denials yet but once Steuben county gets going it will be interesting to watch.
I can only imagine what it would look like in a multi-county emergency. I know DMR tier 3 has a queuing system built in, perhaps P25 does as well.
On a different note in regards to the Laport site. Should radios need to be touched with 700mhz control channels? Obviously the 800 is in there but if it goes to the alternate 700 I don't see how they will find it without any 700mhz cc's in the radio. Am I missing something here?
