Anyone hear a RETRO flight today? I logged RETRO91 AE22AC from 1408 at FL280 to 1437 at FL464.
I've identified the user of mode-S 83AEFC that displays BA23M. It's PAT-809, altitudes heard with ATC are matching perfectly. It's currently inbound to Frederick MD.
1848- Identified as Army King Air on Frederick Unicom
1940- PAT-809 leaving KFDK. 126.1 > 125.05 heading 230.
1945- Cleared direct GVE.
Caught DECOY99 C5 (70-0462) inbound to Martinsburg (MRB) yesterday afternoon. The tower (124.3) advised several aircraft in the area that the runway would close after landing due to a gear issue with the heavy.
After being vectored for the ILS by Potomac Tracon on 126.1, followed by a nice landing, they rolled out to the end and awaited maintenance to tow them off the runway. Dan L was listening to the arrival as well and stated the runway was closed for at least 15 minutes.
Guys,
Did any of you guys with the boxes catch a Sequoia 01 into or out of Leesburg VA on 7 Nov? According to Jordan out on the West Coast it should have come into Leesburg on 7 Nov. I heard him today on HF either on his way to or from Europe.
He could be F900 N960SF & he belongs to the Bechtel Corp in Calif.

Ed,
8891.0 1419Z Gander w/IAF 0512 (Israeli Air Force-not heard) w/position at FL370. Inboud to US/Canada.
1430Z Ed, might be false alarm. Now it sounds like Gander is saying IFA 0512 (unid)--sorry
Ed,
8891.0 1554Z Gander w/Ascot 6666 (C-17A ZZ171 Royal Air Force (RAF) 99 Sqn RAF Brize Norton-not heard) w/position & selcal (JK-ES)
Looks like he's inbound CONUS
AF1 and S29000 are back earlier than planned. S29000 has ADW in sight at 7k ft. I haven't heard AF1 and the mode-S stuff is kind of iffy, may be the minor difference in mode-S codes that has it showing 82-8000 also and at very similar altitudes. I think AF1 has already landed.
