Anyone know what is holding up the laporte co simulcast? Or new launch date?

Looks like LP simulcast is up. 858.7125 is now showing up as control channel for site 107.

Changes coming to Ripley County

Facebook posting by Ripley county EMA last week....the county has received a grant to add encryption capability to existing (APX) radios as well as purchase 2 additional, encryption ready, radios. This is reported to be for law enforcement only, at this time. It doesn't say anything about how much will be encrypted. Link below to facebook post.

Does any one know how much the Safe-T products are used in the warsaw area or are they still on conventional?

Just curious, does ADP use keys like AES? I realize AES is more secure, but would ADP maintain privacy from other users on the system like it would scanner listeners? Say (for example) the county doesn't want ISP "in their business", would ADP be sufficient or would they need to go with AES?

Just trying to figure why they'd spend $$$$ if all they wanted to accomplish was privacy from the general public.

Encryption always uses a key. AES256 is just a much more secure format using 256 bits over the 128 or less formats

ADP is not the governments preferred method and if you want that grant you must choose AES256.

Laporte County Simulcast

I came here to see what was up

Summit has been off for about a week had to switch to valpo tower

Reprogrammed with laporte county simulcast still not hearing lowell or toll road ISP

The Michigan City tower is at PD and heard they had been having troubles with it since installed.

Anyone have suggestions? Idk if ISP is down or I have programming issues
