Mark,

He prob said Reach 545 and I heard 505---sorry. My guess is that the C A ANG guys are providing the acft and the 135th are providing the support personnel for this deploiyment. Was on local news last night that a 100 or so MD ANG folks are headed to Afghanistan.

84-0098 Landed about 1500.

1543- E-6B 163918 is inbound for Pax. SHADOW-05

I see C-17 07-7171 was displaying 326ROXS today. Any idea what 326/326th they mean?
Midday I logged unknown AE0460 displaying RAWHD01. Code is within the range C-2As.

Had a couple of "strange" ones today:

1622- N426CA (Casa-212)- w/Phillips AAF (126.15)
1623- N150RL (BE-200)-w/BW (119.275) in restricted areas.
I logged N150RL for one minute at 1558, 9800ft.
N426CA from 1544 (11,100ft) to 1602 (740ft) That ending alt doesn't seem right for going into KAPG http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N426CA I should've lost it much higher.

1712- ANGRY-1 and BULLY-1 flights inbound for ADW 335.5. A WILD flight landed a little bit earlier.

Travis,

Thanks for the tie ins---just wondering who they belong to and what they are doing. Landings database has both of them owned by holding companies.

Travis--heard the Bully & Angry flts working on 139.15 & 143.6---both VHF xmitters sounded very strange. Not sure but maybe they've gotten new VHF xmitters

I'm guessing you guys already know this but in case you don't "DRAGNET" is the mission crew callsign for the 966th Airborne Air Control Squadron. In the 1980's and '90's it it was the 966th AWACTS which was the flying training squadron. (552 TRS conducts the ground phases of training). I assume they still do the training mission even though they dropped the "T" from the name.

AXIS 16 (EC-130) departed Patterson just after 0200Z, direct KBGR. Passed the callsign TOXIC by accident on departure before catching it. Anyone get it on the box?

Also had REACH 9003 (C-5A, 69-0003) depart before that, but I don't know where it's going...maybe McGuire?

Possibly, I logged it for five minutes until 2122 and it had descended from FL250 to 220.

2223- E-6B 164406 SHADOW-55 is inbound for Pax. 132.95

René.

Hello René. I've got MAZDA 51, flight of six A-10s working their way through ZDC. They went from ZDC-Kenton 354.15 to ZDC-Woodstown 363.0 to ZDC-Atlantic City 281.45 in the mid-1100Z hour. They are working tanker GOLD 92 (KC-135T, 59-1460, 171st ARW PA-ANG Pittsburgh). The strange thing is that their AR freq is 314.1 and not 314.5 which should be the correct Coronet AR freq.
One of the A-10s is running with his Mode-S turned on and showing AE18FF (A-10A, 79-0129, 47th Fighter Squadron)
At 0647 local (1147Z), they are still in AR mode and now GOLD 92 is doing the reporting with ZDC-Atlantic City 281.45 and declares MARSA with the gaggle of them.
0648: GOLD 92, along with the chicks, handed off to ZNY-Manta 353.5 and checks in there.

René, neither your AR freq nor mine are the regular Coronet freqs. Any indication they've reprogrammed them?

0650: GOLD 92 trying to contact MAZDA 47 on the 314.1 freq...no joy.
0652: GOLD 92 reports to ZDC-Manta that he'll "take MARSA for both of them"...perhaps meaning both flights of A-10s.
0654: MAZDA 51 tells GOLD 92 he's taking a lot of spray during the refueling...GOLD 92 replies that he's down to one pump...MAZDA 51 breaks away...314.1
0655: MAZDA 47 now working 314.1 along with the others.

Ref below: Thanks for the info René. They're coming your way - well, at least closer to your radio, if not your location. Just about out of range from here at 0657 local time. Never found the chicks on air-to-air but didn't have a lot of opportunity to search either.

Had another A-10 Mode-S hit for AE18EE (A-10C, 79-0104) That one has been working out of Martin State with the 104th FS recently. I just noticed it on my log. That one was first detected at 0548 local (1048Z) which might be the MAZDA 47 guy.
At 0705 local I'm getting some very weak chat on 256.925 but can't tell who it is...a few voices so it may be the MAZDA flight.

Just for info...(Picked up from Adrian's SBS on Cape Cod)
GOLD 81 = KC-10A, 86-0030, 305th AMW McGuire
GOLD 82 = KC-135R, 62-3508, 108th ARW NJ-ANG McGuire

Mark, welcome to the net. Great to see you there.

Thanks Alan, That 314.500 Coronet frequency was changed to 314.100 last year I think.
Likewise, the "old" 372.300 was replaced by 373.550.
