??? 91 (fighter, unid) - called Metro for weather at KNFW, KFSM, KTIK
DEECEE 53 (KC-135R, unid) - called Grissom Metro (no response), Patterson Metro responded with weather for KGUS
TEAM?/JEEP? 58 (unid) - called Metro (no response)
CODY 02 (C-130H, unid) - called Metro for weather at KIAG
*N836BA (B737, N836BA) - pax pickup, from KGYY; two missed approaches before diverting to KDAY (weather)
**BREWER 72 (C-130, unid) - called Metro for weather at KPOB

*N836BA left KDAY around 1645 local - freq flow was 120.475 ZID > 124.450 ZID > 132.825 ZID > 134.475 ZOB...probably back to KGYY.
**Picked up BREWER 72 while listening to N836BA with center. Freq flow for it was 120.475 ZID > 128.075 ZID.

2/6:
REACH 9003 (C-5A, 69-0003) - returning from mission
REACH 0457 (C-5A, 70-0457) - returning from mission
PAT 868 (unid) - 150 gal fuel
OPEN SKIES 12?T (OC-135B, 61-2670) - departure

2/7 (through 1700Z):
REACH 01 (C-21A, unid) - probably arrived under a different callsign; to KSSC
REACH 0461 (C-5A, 70-0461) - was scheduled to leave on Friday and got held back due to the snow...headed somewhere in Alabama, I think (hasn't departed yet)

Went to see "Dear John" Saturday night - a decent date movie. The main character (John) is a Green Beret based out of Charleston AFB and there are a good number of 437th AW C-17s featured. I was able to catch 01-0194 and 01-0196 in different scenes. Lots of Black Hawks shown as well, but I couldn't see any distinct markings on them.

REACH 01 (C-21A, unid) - called Metro for weather at KBLV, pax dropoff (A3); to KBLV

This one was 06-6158.

Just now ASCOT-2103 XV104 VC-10 just showed up on the box at FL285 and climbing.
1047- Found it on ZDC-Potomac 133.975
1117- Lost it for a while, but just heard it hand off from ZDC 134.625, only caught .675 for the next freq.

I've found a new ZDC freq. 121.925 It's for ultra-high, being used by flights on J75 around Lynchburg. Found it when a flight was handed off from ZDC-Potomac 133.975

Anyone know the buno for 7C-792? I tied it to a mode-S code yesterday.

Drove to Pease to catch these guys. Sat there for awhile but had to go home at 1900z.
Only milair I saw were two KC-135s in the pattern. (PACK 11 and 22).
Oh well. Will try on the radios now.

Hi Ed,

They all went to Westover after all, sorry .....

René.

Well, that explains why I never heard them. Ok Rene, thanks for solving
the mystery. Appreciate it. Now I need to leave the radios for awhile and
get some chow!

Thanks for the heads up anyway. Hey, at least I saw two tankers doing pattern
work at Pease so it wasn't a total loss.

:)

Found an interesting story on the local fire dept website. Back in November the canopy of a Marine T-2 busted at altitude and they landed at KJYO. Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company Incident Log
I couldn't find anything in my Radarbox log to match to it.

2006- ASCOT-9223 ZD950 passing through the area.
2013- Just handed off from ZDC-Gordonsville. 133.725

AE074F 163843
AE0751 163842

Don't have a code for 161203
And 163839 has been using the common Navy miscode 29CBB8.

Thanks - went down to the base and visually confirmed it today (before seeing your post).

The aircraft is T-2C 159713. It was wearing modex F-809 (with VT-86) prior to the T-2s being retired in September 2009. Sometime between then and November it was transferred to VX-20 and is wearing the BuNo in place of a modex. Apparently, it's a support aircraft for the P-8A test team; probably flying chase for the prototype. The emergency landing was on 11/18; I found a source that said a C-130 arrived on 11/20 to drop off a maintenance crew...is that aircraft in your logs?

REACH 290 (C-17A, 06-6158) departed KFFO at 2100Z for LERT. Was scheduled to leave yesterday, but was held up by heavy snow. Uploaded cargo and 85K fuel earlier today.

I logged 160627 from VX-20 down to 1310ft on 11/20 at 1530 so that coudl be it. Haven't logged it since though. And I would expect to have a plane into KJYO down to about 300ft.
