This one was 161319. Nevers shows a callsign, but I did catch it on the radio. Previously I heard it as 7W 242

The only ones I have from yesterday with altitudes indicative of going into ADW are 84-0131 (would've landed around 1400 local) and 86-0377 (would've landed around 1715-1730 local)

Great, thanks.

Logs for 2/23:
PAT 215 (C-12, unid) - 150-200 gal fuel; to KADW
NAVY 7W 223 (UC-12B, unid) - to KADW
PAT 933 (C-12, unid) - to KBDL
RHINO 43 (C-5A, unid) - A2 (VBI pilot's side VHSI inop, VVI on pilot's side TCAS inop, also had a slat/flap syncro issue on landing), parking A5

Had two unidentified fighters transiting ZID airspace this afternoon:
HEATHER? 22 (x2?)
317.525 > 317.750, 270 block 280, non-standard

India-Pakistan Border Ceremony

Guys,

Take a few mins and watch this---proves that ceremony is not a dead art:

India-Pakistan Border NIGHTLY Closing Ceremony

The Wagah border is the only road linking India and Pakistan. And every night, the border is closed with a most unusual ceremony.

YouTube - India Pakistan Wagah Attari Border Closing Ceremony (By Sanjeev Bhaskar - The Longest Road).

Apparently Indian-Pakistani rapprochement will take sometime, but how do they manage not to smile, just once?

They learned much from and adopted the stiff upper lip of their British colonial masters during their raj.

Shades of The Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace . . .

Update on my last log: RHINO 43 may have been 69-0020 FINALLY returning from KWRB (it's been gone well over a year). No confirmation yet, though.

Patterson, 2/24:
JOSA 123 (C-21A, unid) - 6 pax (1 A4), 2500 lbs fuel; to KCOS
JOSA 431 (C-21A, 84-0140? see below) - 2000 lbs fuel; to KBLV
DEECEE 32 (KC-135R, unid) - called Dispatch
REACH 0457 (C-5A, 70-0457) - 0 pax; to KDOV
REACH 3125 (C-17A, 03-3125) - missed approach before landing, parking I2, requesting cargo upload and fuel, departed as REACH 499
NAVY 7N 131 (UC-12B, 161309) - dropping off 5 pax, picking up pax
JOSA 863 (C-21A, unid) - offloading 2 pax (2x S5), A4 staying onboard, no fuel, requesting quick turn; to KIAD
NAVY 7N 131 (UC-12B, 161309) - to KADW
BACKY 92 (KC-135R, unid) - called Metro for weather at K??? And KBGR; 100 mi SW ROD, FL390
HAWK 01 (C-21A, 84-0140) - offloading 5 pax (1 A3, 1 duty pax), 2000 lbs fuel, departed as JOSA 431
REACH 499 (C-17A, 03-3125) - arrived as REACH 3125, requesting deice; to KBGR
JOSA 431 (C-21A, 84-0140) - arrived as HAWK 01; to KBLV
NAVY JA 05 (P-3C, unid) - called Metro for weather at KNHK; FL280
BOXER 309 (unid) - no fuel, pax pickup; to KADW?

Can anyone ID NAVY JA 05 and/or BOXER 309?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got up very early today for a seven-hour drive to Normal (Bloomington), IL...I'm here through Saturday night, so no logs from Patterson except for this one:

SWIFT 32 (C-21A, unid) - inbound, advised they would be departing at 0300Z as HAWK 01, 2000-2500 lbs fuel

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also had a few nice surprises on the way up.

Passing KIND, FDX3909 (a DC-10) flew right over me on while I was driving. I believe he was on final for 23L - didn't write it down, obviously. It was at 200 feet or less and flew directly overtop of the car...certainly helped me stay awake!

Approaching Bloomington, I was scanning 118-136 and heard MASH 81 (KC-135R, unid) with KZID...again, didn't write anything down.

The most exciting, however, was right as I reached Bloomington. TORCH 93 (C-130H, unid) was doing pattern work at KBMI and (for the second time of the day) passed right overtop on final. I had seen him in the pattern from a good distance away - hard to miss the telltale smoking engines - and already had him on the scanner. After that approach, he departed VFR back to KPIA.

All in all, it was a decent trip up, though I am quite ready to pass out in my hotel room....

Got RCH1001 FFFFFE which was once U-28A 05-0473. Landed somewhere earlier, maybe Langley? It has departed and now passing through FL200.. Another miscoded unknown but probable US Mil is 053977showing ALLIED 1 which appeared a few minutes later at the same altitude as RCH1001 appeared.
2021- Seems like they headed south. Lost them both now.

JOSA 863 (C-21A, unid) - offloading 2 pax (2x S5), A4 staying onboard, no fuel, requesting quick turn; to KIAD

I didn't have any C-21s into KIAD, but it looks like C-20B 86-0202 landed there at 1703, wouldn't be a JOSA though.

I don't know if they could've been JA 05, but I logged two VX-20 P-3Cs. 158912 showing SCORE39 which it has been for awhile and AE1D76 which wasn't showing a callsign. 158912 I had from FL268 down to 6100 which is right for Pax, at 2132.

2056- JOSA-543 84-0098 will be diverting to BWI because of high winds at ADW. 378.1
It will be like this for a few days so more diverts won't surprise me.

2141- E-6B 164407 to Shadow Maint 310.15 25 min out, will drop off MAs then haul ass out of there. Showed up on the box few seconds after hearing them.

The call to Metro was about 2400Z, so that puts the ETA at Pax around maybe 0100Z. I assume that AE1D76 didn't have a BuNo associated with it?

Notice once again former CRAB 53 C-130J #97-1353 Martin State has been flying since
first of this year as OCEAN ## callsign out in California.
Guess she is now a 115thAS/146thAW CA-ANG bird.

Ca ANG should be getting 3 more Maryland C-130J's due to BRAC.
