I just copy the radio file and save it as a CSV, open it in excell using fixed columns open and delete the unneeded columns, sort by alias, and delete blanks. After I save it and copy into whatever format I need it for importing, I have it loaded in my scanners using this method. That's next, I run Unitunker 24/7. Any tips are welcomed
I have most of my system locked out and I've collected aliases like crazy. I have some talkgroups that report alias in the channel activity but nothing ever is decoded which leads me to believe they don't have radio ID alias savedHmmm, now there seems to be two totally different answers
Alias in the Channel Activity Window is not an indication that an alias is seen, but rather that DSDPlus is checking to see if a scrambled OTA Alias is being sent. RaleighGuy, I believe you have some users on 1FC near you that have group services enabled in their radios, it also has to be enabled on the system, on the sites you're receiving. I'll be in that area this weekend and will be running DSD+. The 1FC sites near me don't appear to have group services enabled.
More than likely you're correct, but if that were the case, wouldn't all my channels be saying alias? Not all of them do which is weird if your above was true. Only a few handful of them doAlias in the Channel Activity Window is not an indication that an alias is seen, but rather that DSDPlus is checking to see if a scrambled OTA Alias is being sent. Just curious what were some in the ORION system? I ran DSD on the Prince George Harris system and only had 1 Alias, something like “ 57-P_ CBryant”Thanks for all the help, it's working now. It appears to be sending the data to the database but it's only capturing the aliases on 1E0 which uses group services.

Isn't FPL also a Harris system? If so, the OTA aliases are not gathered in the same way. They are transmitted in a way that DSDPlus can decode directly. Just like AEP, just like Duke. The past 2 hours been picking up within 125 mile radius and so far only 1 system is using OTA.
Fl Power & Light I see 2 OTA on Site 49. Florida Power and Light Trunking System, Varies, Florida

I might have missed someone mentioning this already.
User aliases are not automatically updated with OTA data. The user must edit DSDPlus.radios by putting the alias info from OTA (between the quotation marks at the end of the line) between the original quotation marks before the alias code.
