"Yeah, we're all done with that"

Yeah he left Dover this am showing PRIMO 72 #87-0118 1630z.
United still has those air traffic radio headphone channels?
I remember first airline flight I ever took back in early 80's and was United flight
to Denver on old DC-8 and had those airline channels also.
Was disappointed to learn most airlines didn't have them like United and
some United flights pilots turns that channel off.

The Shaw Vipers should be departing tonight between 0200 AM and 0400 AM local time .....
Happy listening !!
René.

Shaw Vipers were off early Tuesday am as GOLD 02 and GOLD 12 departed Dover
0330 local.A GOLD 22 KC-135 60-0317 from McGuire also showed up.

Only tape log I had was at 0430 local TREND 57 flight of 2
on ZDC and a TREND 67 flight of 2 who were going to rtb Shaw.
I assume these were all airspares so TREND 51 and TREND 61 flights prob got out.
GOLD 11 KC-10 #86-0028 met them up at Nantuckett 0500 local.

Prob for Potus trip to Tampa Thursday.
I notice a TFR for DC tonight during State speech.
Seems kind of redundant unless they are planning active fighter CAP.

FBI in Richmond

Guys,

Got this from another list--interesting for you guys in the south:

FBI quick-response team leases RIC space

FILE/TIMES-DISPATCH

The FBI has signed a lease to take over part of the former Virginia Air
National Guard facility on the far side of Richmond International Airport.

By Peter Bacque
Published: January 27, 2010

The FBI's quick-reaction aviation team has landed in Richmond. The federal
law-enforcement agency is leasing part of the former Air National Guard base
at Richmond International Airport for aviation operations of its Critical
Incident Response Group.

"We're very excited to have the FBI as a tenant of the Richmond
International Airport," Jon Mathiasen, the airport's president and CEO, said
yesterday. "They'll bring commerce to the field by buying fuel and other
services," Mathiasen said. "And we look forward to a long, mutually
beneficial relationship with the FBI."

With personnel on-call around the clock, seven days a week, the FBI's
incident-response group facilitates the agency's reaction to crises,
including aviation support. The Capital Region Airport Commission signed a
five-year lease with the federal law-enforcement agency for the 8-acre site,
with options to extend for up to 15 years beyond the first five-year period.
The FBI will pay $1 million a year in rent for the property, which includes
a hangar and operations building. The commission says the rent reflects
market rates.

Richmond International, Mathiasen said, offers the FBI room for expansion,
runways large enough to accommodate heavy aircraft, less congested airspace,
and proximity to the Washington area. The FBI operation also brings 25 new
jobs to the region, Mathiasen said: "We anticipate that number will grow
over time."

RIC also is putting in additional security fencing for the FBI's lease, he
said, and the FBI will reimburse the airport for the work. Without
elaboration, the FBI confirmed the aviation operation's location at Richmond
International Airport.
Part of the Quantico-based incident-response group's Operations Support
Branch coordinates logistical matters for the FBI's rapid-deployment team
program, including transportation and airlift requirements. The FBI will
have two large jet transports, a Boeing 727 and a Boeing 737, at RIC.

As part of the crisis group's mission, FBI negotiators deploy overseas to
assist in the management of kidnapping situations involving U.S. citizens.
The FBI handles negotiations for the U.S. government in international
incidents. Since 1990, the FBI crisis negotiators have deployed to more than
100 such incidents worldwide.
Though the Virginia Air National Guard still has a small presence at the
airport, its 192nd Fighter Wing moved to Langley Air Force Base in Hampton
in 2007, taking about 300 jobs with it.
"We hope the FBI continues to grow and maximizes [the use of] their lease
area," Mathiasen said.

I see that N497PC a DHS/ICE PC-12 is providing aerial observation at 9300ft. Could be OMAHA-2 or -4, that's who I am now hearing on 165.2375.
N541PB has been flying around too.

1625- Just got buzzed by NIGHTHAWK-41/42/43 (CH-53x1, CH-46x2) enroute to Mt Weather. Had I not been busy unloading groceries I would've been able to grab my camera and get a nice pic.

A few minutes later 41 came up on 273.95 advising they'd switch to 126.2 Bluegrass Control.
I wonder who got taken out there this time.

1642- Bluegrass advising there are deer in the area and to land SW of M4 pad. 241.0

N432AC (Piper PA-31, L&T Aviation)-w/BW (119.275) for extensive work in restricted areas before RTB Frederick MD. Pilot sounded like a military type

I have N432AC being a Cessna 750 of Cottonwood Aviation. Registration typo? N423AC would be correct for a PA-31.

1804- 1st FW active on 233.525, thought I heard the callsign SONIC. They're talking about WX.
It's a SLAM flight.

1826- MUSSELL-6 flight of two inbound for Mt Weather.
1837- MUSSELL-14 is two minutes out.

HARASS-21 had just requested RTB clearance from Guard Dog thinking they would be leaving in 10 minutes. They won't be leaving for another hour.

2257- Or not, HUNTRESS just cleared them to RTB. HARASS-21 was just about to gas up too.
2300- MUSSELL-06 departing Mt. Weather 241.0
2302- NIGHTHAWK-41 x 3 flight cleared in to pick up pax. MUSSELL-01 cleared to depart.
HARASS using 360.15 for interflight now, wasn't hearing them on it all night.
2307- E-4B 73-1676 BLUE-75 (displaying BRET85) now departing Andrews. 118.95 Coincidence?
2311- OMAHA-1 N5204J out near Manassas on 118.95.
2317- Sounds like a total of 38 pax on 42 and 43. Got an orderwire on 232.45 from the E-4B.
2320- NIGHTHAWK flight is departing.
2322- Hearing phone dialing, "command post" and then modem noise and data. 232.45
2326- NIGHTHAWK-42/43 are passing north of Dulles. The lead is totally blacked out. 41 now departing.
2329- OMAHA-2 is landing at Manassas. 165.2375

The HUD secretary is the one sent to the 'undisclosed' location.
