E-4B 74-0787 is inbound from the west. Showing FIXIT40, but actually FLUM or THUMB?-62 with ATC. 119.85>124.7

I'm hearing "FLUM" also (119.3) but it just doesn't seem right. Heading to Andrews runway 1L.
At 1608, he's with Andrews Tower 118.4 for full stop 1L.
As usual, he'll no doubt program the callsign (or switch boxes) before taking off and we'll see what it was. Bet he has it programmed already in the secondary Mode-S box.

Two Canadian C-17As (CC-177) through the area mid-1900 hour. They are tails 177701 and 177704 from 429 Squadron.
Earlier, in the 1700 hour, 177702 came through.

GAF298 C-160 50+62 has departed Dulles. 125.05>128.7
Seems lately most flights are getting handed off to 128.7 rather than 125.65.

1151- SAM-6503 99-0404 requested vectors for an extended approach so they can land 5 minutes after AF2 and to avoid holding. 119.85
Or get them in before AF2 if able with short vectors.

Couple ramp freeze windows scheduled for later too.
News report says:
President Barack Obama is skipping an annual rite of passage for Washington's movers and shakers: the exclusive Alfalfa Club dinner on Saturday night. Obama attended last year's affair, held less than two weeks after he was sworn in to office. The White House did not explain the president's decision not to attend this year. The dinner traditionally is closed to the media but is known for its jokes and speeches. The president usually is invited to deliver remarks. The Alfalfa Club exists solely to put on the annual dinner

Wonder where he's going?

1208- AF2 with 119.85 really weak, must be inbound from Dover. Not on mode-S.

There is a USAF U-28 (Pilatus PC-12/47) in the area. Formerly N822BM and using it's old code AB386E. Displaying ALLIED 1.

At 0845 I logged CF272C displaying TUSKR 24. ?? Probable Canadian C-130.

1150: BOGEY 99 (F-5) departs Willow Grove headed west (340.2) Interesting talk with departure (291.7) about just 'getting out of their hair with a quick climb out.

and quick it was, I happened to be walking out of the grocery store when he came screaming overhead. Sure made everyone stop and look, maybe even check their underwear. I only got a quick glance and actually thought it was an F-16 until reading you post. I'm gonna miss things like that when Willow Grove closes next year.

US military medevac flights from Haiti were stopped on Wednesday
Anyone know if they are flying again?
I have not seen a lot of postings here on this thread about the Haiti medevacs. Anyone have any info on the topic? How many C130s are available? How many C17s? etc
Is there another thread that has more info?

Peter Sz

There is still tons of USAF and Canadian C-17's still making trips in and
out of there.Logged one unusual tonight into Dover REACH 277A C-17 #00-0171.
Most of the US Mil types are using RCH *** alpha for Haiti missions.
This 277A had HR's aboard so first I have heard them into Dover.
Could be US citizens killed in Haiti.Usually Dover mortuary just handles DOD employees
mil and related but maybe they need help down there with American citizen bodies
like that Hotel Montana that collapsed.

I bet that's the same one I logged on Friday; it probably headed straight to KNXX from Patterson.

Patterson, 1/30:
SUMMIT 19 (C-130H, 94-7319) - called Dispatch (no response)
TROUT 99 (unid) - arrival...never heard a departure

No activity logged there today.

EDIT: TROUT 99 (KC-135, 63-7980) just recieved clearance to EBBR at 0440Z.

A diplomat with the State Department was killed in the earthquake as well as the wife and two young children of another US diplomat. My thoughts go out to them. In addition, 6 Haitians employed locally by the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince were killed, and another 3 were seriously injured. For a bit of good news, there were no reported serious injuries among the staff (both diplomat and locally-hired) of the Canadian Embassy there.

I'd like to know what aircraft is landing at Davison AAF about now. I think that one may tie up to AE074E which has previously displayed USNAVY for the callsign. It's radio was too weak for me to hear it.

Another ID for those with mode-S receivers- FAAFF1 is N208EK a Cessna 208 transmitting ADS-B. It landed at KJYO a little while ago.

1800- NATO C-17 08-0001 displaying BRK97 is passing through the area.
1805- Must be coming from the south, now contacting Dover CP advising they are 30min out.

1816- GUARD-16131 to the west of Dulles, heading towards Gaithersburg. 125.8
